Researching the internet on both the LDG and MFJ sites seems to indicate that other than the minor wiring transpositions, the ALINCO/ICOM tuner control protocols are the same - however, after trying my EDX-2 tuner with an ICOM 718 radio, I cannot get the tuner to operate properly.. I can think of a couple of things: - you don't have it wired correctly - the ICOM doesn't stay in tune mode until it gets a signal from the EDX-2 that it is finished (might be caused by above) - the EDX-2 won't match the particular antenna you are using, althouhg this generally results in the EDX-2 going into a loop and you have to kill power to it to get it to stop..
